"The Hunger Games" series written by Suzanne Collins, along with the movie based on the first book, has taken the best seller's list and box office by storm. Selling over 800,00 copies in 26 foreign countries, and raking in $251 million in just 10 short days.
For Thessy Rossainz (9) seeing the movie was the highlight of her weekend. Although she didn't get to see the movie at the midnight premiere, she enjoyed the movie the next Saturday.
"I read the book before I saw the movie," said Rossainz.
Most people get a better movie experience if they've already read the book, and for Rossainz, that was the case.
"I personally like the book better, but the movie has its better parts too," she said.
For those that have read the book or seen the movie, the big question is 'So, who do you like better? Peeta or Gale?'
"I like Peeta a little more than Gale, but I like them both," she said.
Obviously this book has been a huge hit in the theatres and bookstores, but Rossainz has a little advice for people that haven't read or seen The Hunger Games.
"Even though the book is really good, if you're lazy, just go see the movie," she said humorously.
If you haven't seen the movie, yet, you're still in luck. The Hunger Games will be showing in theatres for a few more weeks, and the books are on sale in stores everywhere. Happy Hunger Games!
