31 United work a chance to shoot, but Evra can only fire wildly wide when he arguably should have played the ball across goal.
30 Valencia crosses in, but Bothroyd is back to clear, the only real touch the striker has had so far.
29 Fabio claims handball against Taiwo. If that had been given I think QPR would have just forfeited. Fortunately the right decision, a corner, is given.
28 Diakite does well to play inside a narrow triangle of United players, as QPR retain possession for the time being.
27 Taarabt is caught by Rafael, who isn't happy at the decision to award a free-kick, which is perplexing, because it clearly was.
26 United advance, with Valencia finding Rooney whose shot is bravely blocked by the diving body of Hill.
24 Young nearly makes it two as Rooney crosses from the right with the winger blazing a header wide from five yards. Uncharacteristically poor from Young.
23 As the hate mail flies in for Young, the United winger spreads play to Valencia, before Taiwo gets lucky in stealing from Rooney.
22 Evans clears for United, but they can't break away as A Ferdinand keeps QPR forward until eventually Rooney intercepts.
21 Taarabt fires an effort away, which cannons into Carrick and ends up requiring a parry over the bar from De Gea.
20 Valencia links up with Fabio on the left, before Young gets involved, who is tackled by Taiwo to a huge roar from the QPR fans.
19 Young strikes a free-kick into the wall, but Valencia has it on the right, with Buszaky the man charging down his cross.
17 QPR look to readjust with ten men, as United continue to dominate possession searching for spaces that should become more apparant now.
15 It's a huge moment in the title race, and one that that QPR will naturally be fuming about. Regardless, Rooney keeps his cool and plants his effort excellently to Kenny's right. 1-0 to United.
15 GOAL! Rooney scores!
14 It's controversial as Young is offside, before going down easily under Derry, which earns the QPR man a red card and United a penalty.
14 Red card for Derry and a penalty for United!
13 Valencia and Welbeck look to link up, but a loose pass from the latter allows Taiwo to step in.
12 It's better from QPR as they hold up play in midfield, but United's pressure is understandably daunting and they are forced back to Kenny.
11 Buzsaky has a pop from range but it would have to been very special to beat De Gea from there, and it wasn't.
10 QPR venture forward with Onuoha doing well to get past Evra, but he can't find Bothroyd and Evans intercepts. Moments later, Rooney makes a shocking challenge on Diakite.
8 Young surges forward but his pass catches Welbeck off guard and Hill gets across to cover. Possession is being completely controlled by United currently.
7 Kenny is much better this time, as he dives to his right to parry Rooney's excellent effort behind goal.
6 QPR are yet to venture out of their own half as United patiently examine the visitors' defence, with Diakite fouling Rooney 25 yards out.
5 Kenny gets nowhere near it but Evans can't direct his header on target and QPR barely clear. Strong start from United so far.
5 Ferdinand gets his head to the delivery from Young, but they're still under pressure, with Taiwo forced to concede another corner.
4 Rooney fires an effort away, which takes a deflection off the wall and the hosts have a corner.
3 Hull catches Welbeck during a one-two with Rooney and United have a free-kick 25 yards out.
2 A patient start from United as they press forward without finding any space in the final third, with QPR restricting space well.
1 Man United get the game underway.
Mansoor writes: "A bit nervous about this one, think United will score an early one then just sit back which iv seen quite a bit this season, if we get valencia on the ball right away then we know the chances will come, QPR must be buzzing after beating chelsea arsenal and liverpool admittedly at their own turf but they will fancy at least taking a point which would be massive for them and in uniteds eyes a big blow a i feel city will do the job at arsenal they do have the knack of doing it like united sometimes. This race os far from over."
Terry Stapleton writes: "I'm always concerned with the Red Devils at home. They seem to think the game is won before the kickoff. I agree with Zack. If United lose the title from here they can only blame themselves. I'd like to predict the score but with United at Old Trafford it's unpredictable. Go the Red Devils."
Zach Kingsbury writes: "I'm nervous about this one. Manchester United can either perform very well or very badly, either way I think they'll gain points. They're very good at that of recent. 3-0 United with Rooney grabbing all 3. It's United's title to lose now. No pressure then."
Sir Alex Ferguson makes two changes to his Manchester United starting line-up. Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replace Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the team that defeated Blackburn on Monday. Relegation-threatened QPR have plenty of incentive to get a result themselves, although they are without Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora, who is on the bench, as Jay Bothroyd starts a Premier League game for the first time since January.
Manchester Utd are 1/6 favourites with our friends at Sky Bet to go eight points clear this afternoon, albeit until Man City play Arsenal later today. Q.P.R. are 14/1 to triumph in what would be a crucial three points in their bid to avoid relegation, while the draw can be backed at 6/1.
The man in black today is Lee Mason (Lancashire).
